"She seeks wool and flax, and works willingly with her hands" - "B'chefetz Kapeha" (Proverbs 31:13)
From childhood, I have sought to broaden my knowledge in a variety of creative art forms. Thus, parallel to my academic studies, which include a Bachelors degree (LLB) in Law and Political Science from Bar Ilan University, Internship as a clerk at the Family Court in Jerusalem, becoming a member of the Israeli Bar Association and a Masters degree (LLM with honors) in Law from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, I wished to discover my own artistic "niche". Combining my love of the aesthetic with the pleasure I find in fine-arts design and craftsmanship has led me to the beautiful world of Millinery.
Upon completion of an apprenticeship with Israel's leading milliner, Mrs. Sophia Bach, and learning from her the traditional techniques of the age-old art of millinery - from basing a hat and working with antique hat-blocks through fine needle work of embroidering to beading - I began fashioning custom hand-made women's hats of special design for personal clients.
Each of my customized hand-made hats is truly "one-of-a-kind" since I never make two identical hats. Whether made of straw, felt or fabric, I insure that the materials with which I design my hats are all of superb quality.
Over the years, I have accumulated invaluable experience in designing and creating custom hand-made hats, and have developed a unique style of my own. With the willingness of my hands – בחפץ כפיה – it gives me great satisfaction to present a hat which is a work of art to each and every client.
Whether you are interested in a hat for a special occasion such as a wedding hat, summer hats or winter hats, cloche, turban, feminine skull cap, a small or wide brim hat or a special head covering, I invite you to browse the variety of designer hats presented here in my Hatbox.
